Incidentally, the fictional Soylents (was made from Soy and lentils in Harry Harrison‘s (of the Stainless Steel Rat fame) 1966 book Make Room! Make Room!) were only made of people in the 1973 movie adaptation Soylent Green. The real-world Soylent meal replacement product above is made with actual soy (and other stuff), but not lentils… The company that created this product actually did take the name from the fictional one though…
After reading about it, I’m rather sure it’s not my kind of jam as a drink…
